The State Road Agency of Ukraine (Ukravtodor) has begun repair and construction work at over 200 facilities in 23 regions of Ukraine
This was stated by the head of Ukravtodor, Oleksandr Kubrakov, during a press conference on May 19, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“Currently, work is ongoing on approximately 2,600-2,700 kilometers, taking into account projects funded by IFIs (international financial organizations – author)… That is, work is ongoing on more than 200 objects in 23 regions,” said Kubrakov.
In particular, Ukravtodor is actively conducting construction and repair work on the following highways: H-30 Vasylivka-Berdyansk, M-18 Kharkiv-Simferopol-Alushta-Yalta, M-12 Stryi — Rohatyn — Berezhany — Ternopil — Khmelnytskyi — Vinnytsia — Kropyvnytskyi — Znamyanka, M-03 Kyiv-Kharkiv-Dovzhanskyi, H-31 Dnipro-Reshetylovka, M-05 Kyiv-Odesa, M-19 Domanov-Porubne, and H-26 Chuhuyev-Milove.
Construction work on the Stanytsia Luhanska-Sevierodonetsk and Lviv-Medenichi-Truskavets roads is also underway.
Kubrakov said that work on some of the aforementioned facilities will be completed in June and July of this year.
In addition, work has already begun on the construction of a bridge in Zaporizhia, on which the first sections for road traffic will be opened by the end of the year.
According to the head of Ukravtodor, in 2020 it is planned to attract 90.2 billion hryvnias for the construction or repair of roads, taking into account loan funds from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the World Bank.
As Ukrinform reported, in 2020 Ukravtodor plans to build or repair 4,000 kilometers of state roads and 2,500 kilometers of local roads.
