The National Expert Construction Alliance of Ukraine, headed by Viktor Leshchynsky, is a key member of FIABCI INTERNATIONAL, the international federation of real estate professionals

NEBAU’s participation in FIABCI-Ukraine provides access and opportunities for all Alliance members to international best practices in the real estate sector. Such access is provided to more than 1 million associated members in 65 countries around the world.

President of FIABCI-Ukraine Dmytro Kovganich is a regular participant in Alliance events and an extremely interesting speaker who once again spoke during the meeting of the Supreme Council of Expert Organizations of the Construction Industry, which took place on September 17.

The main topic of his speech was trends in development and construction 2021 and the MIPIM September Edition exhibition, which took place in early September in Cannes (France).

Dmytro Kovganich presented the Ukrainian project Mallow Island at the MIPIM exhibition, which became the highlight of the trendiest discussion about the transformation of global development in the pursuit of achieving a zero carbon footprint.

This is the biggest trend right now — to create projects, cities and developments taking into account environmental protection and the use of alternative energy sources. This trend also involves the use of methods that have not yet been fully used by humanity — this is the construction of housing and infrastructure on water.

The speaker emphasized that when considering projects at the FIABCI World Prix D’excellence Award competition, which is an analogue of the Oscar in the field of real estate, out of 100% of the competition points, the project sustainability criterion has a specific weight of 25%. All other criteria, and there are about 10 of them, form the other 75% of the specific weight of the project’s importance for the world.

Dmytro called on specialists to join the Ukrainian branch of the International Real Estate Federation, become experts who receive international recognition, and go with FIABCI-Ukraine to MIRIM next year (March 15-18, 2022).
