The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a resolution that provides for the establishment of uniform criteria for the quality of design solutions for entities that develop urban planning documentation projects, the Ministry of Regional Development website reports.
“Thanks to the decision, a new type of urban planning documentation is being introduced, which is subject to mandatory examination – a comprehensive plan for the spatial development of the territory of a commercial community. Other types of urban planning documentation have also been determined, which are subject to examination by decision of the customers. Making these changes will contribute to the development of higher-quality urban planning documentation,” said Deputy Minister of Community and Territorial Development Nataliya Kozlovska.
This is about bringing the provisions of the current Procedure for conducting an examination of urban planning documentation into line with the requirements of the Law of Ukraine “On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine Regarding Land Use Planning.”
The procedure also provides for the submission by the customer (as part of the package of documents for the examination) of the conclusions of the interested bodies, including the protection of cultural heritage. This is necessary, in particular, to determine the compliance of the project with the requirements of the legislation.
