Security is expensive!
Why is so much attention being paid in Ukraine to the construction of shelters, in particular, anti-radiation shelters? What are the main features of the updated state building standards (DBN) on shelters and other civil defense structures, which came into force in November 2023? Is it possible to openly “spend” funds during the construction of a particular facility?
This was stated by Viktor Leshchynsky, a well-known construction expert and president of the National Expert Construction Alliance of Ukraine, in the new episode of the program “Personality with Serhiy Doyk”.
Any new construction in Ukraine must be carried out according to the principles of barrier-free construction, increased requirements for energy efficiency, and enhanced protection of civil, administrative, and industrial structures.
Since this is one of the conditions for the effective modernization of the country, new construction standards are already being laid down in the new legislative framework of urban planning policy and the restoration of Ukraine, and are also taken into account during the design and direct implementation of projects.
