Today, the opening of the All-Ukrainian online marathon “State and Prospects for the Development of the Construction Industry 2020” took place, organized by the Public Council under the Ministry of Regional Development, among the co-organizers of which is the National Expert Construction Alliance of Ukraine

Among those who welcomed the listeners and participants of the Marathon were First Deputy Minister of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine Vasyl Lozynskyi, People’s Deputy of Ukraine Olena Shulyak, Chairman of the Public Council under the Ministry of Regional Development Pavlo Mikhailidi, President of the National Expert Construction Alliance of Ukraine Viktor Leshchynskyi, and many other important players in the construction industry.

In his welcoming speech, Viktor Leshchynsky outlined several important trends that are currently taking place in the construction sector and that are in the focus of the National Expert Construction Alliance of Ukraine.

The first is widespread digitalization. The Alliance, in particular, has developed two digital initiatives for the field of expertise: digital protection of expert reports and conversion of expert reports into digital format. The initiatives are already being implemented in several expert organizations and will soon be available to everyone.

The second trend is the particular relevance in modern realities of one type of expertise, namely forensic technical expertise, which is designed to be an “arbitrator” between the customer and the contractor and a powerful evidentiary base both in court cases and pre-trial proceedings.

The President of the Alliance also emphasized the importance of the new initiative of the current government – the reconstruction of “Khrushchevka”, which is a difficult challenge for both the authorities and the entire construction community. Nevertheless, this is a problem that needs to be solved together, because it is about comfortable and safe housing for thousands of Ukrainians.

In addition, Viktor Leshchynskyi mentioned the state program “Large Construction”, in particular, the construction and reconstruction of roads and the role of the Ministry of Regional Development in the systematic and effective implementation of this program.

The next stage of the “Large Construction”, the President of the Alliance Viktor Leshchynskyi sees “large underground construction” as the reconstruction of utility networks that are in a dilapidated condition and require immediate replacement.

Finally, Viktor Leshchynskyi noted that such professional events as the Marathon should be held on a regular basis so that everyone involved in construction has an effective platform for communication that would help them implement important projects for our country faster and more efficiently.
