“MY WORLD” by Orest Kuziv: a new look at Ukrainian painting
On November 16, the opening of the solo exhibition “MY WORLD” by the talented painter from Ivano-Frankivsk Orest Kuziv took place at the Ivan Kavaleridze Museum-Workshop in Kyiv. The event became a bright event for fans of contemporary Ukrainian art.
Orest Kuziv is a representative of the new wave of Ukrainian artists, whose work fascinates with its depth and originality. His paintings, which celebrate the beauty of native nature, are filled with light and warmth. The main motifs of the exhibition are simple and familiar images to every Ukrainian: kopecks, willows, sacred motifs.
At the opening of the exhibition, Serhiy Komisarov, Honored Journalist of Ukraine, author of the programs “Art Wave” and “Art Catalog”, spoke. He emphasized that Orest Kuziv’s creative path is a story of a combination of talent, hard work and deep love for Ukraine. “Orest Kuziv’s paintings radiate joy, warmth and faith in victory. They remind us of what we are fighting for: for our land, culture and future,” said Serhiy Komisarov.
Among the guests was also artist Igor Kutsy, who noted the individuality of Orest Kuziv’s writing: “Orest’s works are sincere and authentic Ukraine. In each painting, the spirit of his native land is felt, without any falsehood or banality.”
Viktor Leshchynsky, a well-known philanthropist and head of the Viktor Leshchynsky Charitable Foundation, which actively supports the development of culture and spirituality in Ukraine, also shared his impressions: “Art is the language spoken by the soul of the people, and the work of Orest Kuziv is a vivid example of how an artist can convey not only the beauty of nature, but also the spirit of our nation. Support for such events is important, because it is through them that we preserve and multiply our cultural heritage.”
The Victor Leshchynsky Charitable Foundation successfully cooperates with Ukrainian artists, promoting their creative development and popularizing contemporary art. Orest Kuziv has repeatedly participated in joint cultural and educational events of the Foundation, and has provided his paintings for participation in charitable events that help raise funds to support important social initiatives.
The exhibition “MY WORLD” opened on a symbolic day – the 1000th day of the struggle of the Ukrainian people against Russian aggression. Orest Kuziv’s paintings remind us of what we are defending our freedom for. His art is a kind of hymn to the beauty of Ukrainian nature and the indomitable spirit of the nation.
The artist himself also addressed the visitors: “I invite all Kyiv residents and guests of the capital to visit the exhibition. I will be glad to personally greet each of you at the Kavaleridze Museum-Workshop on Andriyivskyi Uzviz.”
