The municipal organization “Kyivgenlan” has completed the development of a draft of a new general plan and published the main provisions of the document
The master plan itself consists of 17 volumes and a brochure with the main provisions.
Public hearings and discussions of the draft general plan were supposed to begin on March 20, but due to the quarantine introduced in Kyiv, mass events were canceled.
“Immediately after the end of restrictive measures in the capital, we will, in accordance with the legislation, hold full-fledged public hearings involving broad segments of the capital’s residents,” the press service of the Kyiv City State Administration quotes Serhiy Bronevitsky, head of Kyivgenplan.
Kyiv residents will be able to study the project materials and provide their comments and suggestions to the e-mail address: kyivgenplan.prop@gmail.com, as well as to the postal address: 01001, Kyiv, Khreshchatyk St., 32.
According to the general plan, a cable car may appear in the capital, connecting Khreshchaty Park and Trukhaniv Island. Also, Kyiv’s city electric train may turn from a transport that is almost always late into one of the main city highways in the coming years. In addition, the construction of two new branches of the metro is planned.
