The new electronic register of construction activities is now fully launched, the government continues to work on the reform of the construction permit system to complete it by the end of the year
This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal during the government’s question hour.
“I inform you that the new DABI register has been fully launched, which is already on the state servers and is controlled by state special services. Today it is impossible to change it, it is completely public – open it now and see how many objects have already been entered in a week – about a thousand,” Shmyhal said.
He added that it is now impossible to “agree” on the commissioning of facilities that were built without a permit, because the register does not allow this.
The Prime Minister noted that this was the first step in reforming the permit system in construction.
“The second step is that the (profile) Committee has registered a draft law, which we will support in every way so that it is literally submitted to the nearest sessional meetings. In this draft law … white transparent participants in the construction market have given their proposals on how the permit system in the construction sector should work. Permits at the beginning, at the entrance, in principle should not be required according to the concept. It should be like in the entire civilized world – commissioning of facilities that are safe for human use. This is the basis of the reform that is already spelled out in the draft law. We are promoting, moving forward and will complete this reform this year, as promised to Ukrainians,” he summed up.
