One of the major problems today is investment in Ukraine
A major conference on investment in Ukraine was held in the Estonian capital these days. It was the first such large-scale event in the Baltics and Scandinavia since the full-scale Russian invasion. The main goal of the event is to expand investment opportunities, build partnerships, and promote Ukraine’s economic revival.
President of the National Expert Construction Alliance of Ukraine VIKTOR LESCHYNSKY:
– Regarding the problems that are taking place today, one of the most significant is investments in our state. Unfortunately, along with the problems of filling the state budget due to the fact that all earned funds are spent on the defense of Ukraine as much as possible, there are cases when individual territorial communities and some state companies or institutions allocate huge funds for… landscaping cities, laying paving stones or asphalt, purchasing drums for shelters, etc.
In addition to all this, there is no single clear understanding in the country of how we will build now and in the future, since the strategic norm has not been finalized to its logical end. Ukraine cannot follow the path of a country like Israel today. The investment climate is very weak, and implementing security norms is quite expensive, but it is extremely necessary. We live with this issue and will live for more than one year, but rather, for decades.
I want to assure you that in Ukraine, despite everything, there are quite a few commercial organizations that have already converted to a modern approach to work, with established teams, modern software, understanding of realities, and adherence to innovative technologies.
The implementation of all relevant projects should be addressed in a comprehensive manner so that individuals, families, and communities live in safe homes and have access to social services in secure buildings. This should become the norm for modern Ukraine and the Ukraine of the future.
